How do you choose colors/prints for a quilt?
Love fabrics but have been getting REALLY overwhelmed with what goes together. How you choose colors and prints when sewing a quilt?

I like to find one print that I really love, and mix and match with some solids, some large-scale prints, and some small-scale prints.
Great suggestion, Lindsay! Thank you for sharing. - David @ CraftFoxes
Hello! Our Resident Quilting Expert, Meg Cox, has this to say: "I do just buy fabric I fall in love with sometimes, whether at the quilt shop or a quilt show, and figure out later how I want to use it. Other times, I will have a pattern first, like one to make a quilt for my nephew's wedding: I asked him and his wife to be what colors they liked, and chose batiks in greens and blues that seemed to fit their taste. (They loved the quilt!)
One tip I have heard for picking other fabrics to match a multi-colored fabric you love: check the color dots on the selvedge edge, and you will see all the different colors that are included in that fabric. You can choose which colors you want to pick up in the other fabrics you choose."
