Women's Knitted Poncho - Vintage Knitting Pattern - 1970's original Southwest Native design with fringe and lace-up front - So Retro-Mod!
Description
I just LOVE this poncho! It is so Boho Chic and Retro and Native and Hippy and Comfy-Cozy all at the same time! It has a great stylized southwestern-ish design, but it is totally hip and modern. Wear this awesome poncho and people will take notice!
This listing is for the knitting pattern only. It is a .pdf file that is available for immediate download after checkout.
This pattern is originally from Coats&Clark's Book No. 202, Young Fashions, published in 1970. This is no longer in circulation, so in order to make it available for more vintage loving knitters, I am transcribing the instructions exactly as written in the original pattern book and offering them here.
Size is one-size-fits-all, and there are no measurements given - but it looks very forgiving of size and really could be worn by just about anyone.
Gauge: 4 sts x 4 rows = 1” on size 13 needles (29" circular)
Extras:
Crochet hook for attaching fringe
