Description

You'll be stylin' with this large-print plaid button up coat! You'll look like you just stepped off the set of Mad Men. It's hard to find these things in the thrift shop, so just make one... you get the style you want, and you get to pick the color and size.

This listing is for the knitting pattern only. It is a .pdf file that is available for immediate download after checkout.

This pattern is originally from Spinnerin, Volume 150, published in 1962. This is no longer in circulation, so in order to make it available for more vintage loving knitters, I am transcribing the instructions exactly as written in the original pattern book and offering them here.

Directions are for VINTAGE Women's size 10-12, 14-16. Sizing is according to this chart from the original pattern book:

Size - 12 - 14 - 16 - 18
Bust - 34 - 36 - 38 - 40
Waist - 25 - 26 - 28 - 30

If you are crafty, you can probably adjust the pattern to fit larger sizes.
