Description

Another AMAZING Grandma Chic sweater! The original pattern was named Young and Vivacious... and this chic is rockin' it! Now, that same sweater is in grandma's closet, so, Grandma Chic! It is still totally wearable for those with the style to pull it off... especially in an earth-tone paired with a super bright contrasting color... it's very young hipster-esque modern. It's hard to find these things in the thrift shop, so just make one... you get the style you want, and you get to pick the color and size.

This listing is for the knitting pattern only. It is a .pdf file that I will email to you.

This pattern is originally from Spinnerin, Volume 167, published in 1964. This is no longer in circulation, so in order to make it available for more vintage loving knitters, I am transcribing the instructions exactly as written in the original pattern book and offering them here.

Directions are for VINTAGE Women's size Small (32-34), Medium (36-38) and Large (40-42). There is no size chart in this issue, but the pattern specifies these measurement for the sizes:
Body at Bustline - 33(37-41)
Sweater at Bustline - 35(39-43)

Original yarn used:
Spinnerin brand in 3 weights - Light weight, Medium, and Heavy weight. This gives us 3 versions of the pattern in one.

You can google vintage yarn and get all the specifications you need to shop around for modern equivalents.

Medium weight - 6 sts x 8 rows = 1

Heavy weight - 5 sts x 7 rows = 1"
