Description

This is a vintage sweater that looks just like it could be in the stores today! It's a timeless design with great features - love the boatneck - love the braided cables! It's hard to find these things in the store, so just make one... you get the style you want, and you get to pick the color and size.

This listing is for the knitting pattern only. It is a .pdf file that is available for immediate download after checkout.

This pattern is originally from Spinnerin, Volume 150, published in 1962. This is no longer in circulation, so in order to make it available for more vintage loving knitters, I am transcribing the instructions exactly as written in the original pattern book and offering them here.

Directions are for VINTAGE Women's size 12, 14 and 16. Sizing is according to this chart from the original pattern book:

Size 12 14 16

Bust 34 36 38
Waist 25 26 28

If you are crafty, you can adjust the pattern to fit larger sizes.

Original yarn used was:
Spinnerin Nylaine Quick-Knit, 2 oz skeins - 9(10-11)
Or
Spinnerin Tempo, 2 oz balls - 10(11-12)
You can google vintage yarn and get all the specifications you need to shop around for modern equivalents.
