Description

These are great soakers for cloth diapers, but they are also super cute diaper covers for disposables! The ventilation slits allows some air to get into the babies skin, keeping them more comfortable than airtight covers.

This listing is for the knitting pattern only. It is a .pdf file that I will email to you.

This pattern is originally from New Lux, 1952 Edition. This is no longer in circulation, so in order to make it available for more vintage loving knitters, I am transcribing the instructions exactly as written in the original pattern book and offering them here.

Directions are for VINTAGE Infants size newborn, 6 months. Sizing is according to this chart from the original pattern book:

Year - ВЅ
Chest - 19”

Waist 19”

(they don't have a newborn size on the chart)

If you are crafty, you can probably adjust the pattern to fit larger or smaller sizes.

Original yarn specified was:
4-ply Non-shrink Fingering, 2 oz

You can google modern equivalents to get the gauge needed.

Gauge: 7 sts x 9 rows = 1”

Needles: Size 2 and 3 knitting needles
