I'm bringing it back Old School with this pattern! This can be the coolest sweater - especially if you get brave with some bright modern color combos. These retro sweaters are the hip new trend - everybody's gotta have it. It's hard to find these things in the thrift shop, so just make one... you get the style you want, and you get to pick the color and size.

This pattern came from a 1987 knitting magazine that is no longer in circulation, so in order to make it available for more vintage loving knitters, I am transcribing the instructions exactly as written in the original pattern book and offering them here.

This pattern is for a vintage size Small (36bust, 21 1/2 length), Medium (39bust, 22 length), and Large (42bust, 22 1/2 length)

To change the size, change yarn width or needles to get the gauge you need.

Gauge: 13 sts = 3" in garter stitch on larger needles

Needles:

size 6 and 7 knitting needles
19" circular needle size 6
crochet hook size 5/F - some crochet needed for assembly
