I fell in love with this little elephant vest as soon as I saw it! It's a vintage retro look with modern appeal... hipster babies will beg to wear this vest ;)

This pattern is from a 1987 knitting magazine and is no longer in circulation, so in order to make it available for more vintage loving knitters, I am transcribing the instructions exactly as written in the original pattern book and offering them here.

Directions are for an easy fit garment for 6 months to 1 year size.

Yarn:
3 1/2 oz. off-white worsted weight yarn
Small amounts of orange, green and brown worsted weight yarn.

Gauge: 5 sts x 7 rows = 1"

Needles: Size 8 knitting needles
