This handmade wool needle felted Red-winged Blackbird is perched upon a Cattail. One of the first birds back in the spring, Red-winged Blackbird males arrive before the females and stake out their territory by perching high on Cattails in wetlands announcing their presence by displaying their bright red feathers on their wings and calling loudly.

This unique wall-hanging can proudly hang on your wall and remind you of spring.

It is made from 100% Canadian wool and is attached to the natural cattail by wire and is felted on as well to make it look like it is really perched on it. There is a wire hanger hidden behind the bird so you can easily hang it on your wall without anyone seeing how it is hung there.
