Big and Little Walden the narwhal (2 patterns):

Now you can make your very own unicorn of the sea (ie. narwhal), in two different sizes! Included are the crochet amigurumi patterns for a large (and very cuddly) narwhal measuring about 17 inches long (including horn) AND a small (hand sized) narwhal measuring about 8.5 inches long (including horn) when using worsted weight yarn.

These are intermediate level patterns that involve single crochet, colour changes, increasing, decreasing and attaching pieces.

To make BIG Walden the Narwhal you will need:

• G US (4 mm) hook
• two colours of worsted weight yarn (142 yrds for body; 70 yrds for belly)
• two 15 mm plastic safety eyes

To make LITTLE Walden the Narwhal you will need:

• E US (3.5 mm) hook
• two colours of worsted weight yarn (39 yrds for body; 17 yrds for belly)
• two 12 mm plastic safety eyes

Plus, for both of them, you will need:

• a yarn/tapestry needle
• removable stitch markers
• polyester fiberfill stuffing

Note: If you are making this amigurumi for someone under 3 yrs, I recommend crocheting or embroidering the eyes instead of using the plastic safety eyes.
