Purchased the plain pine children's table with chairs from Ikea (http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50178411/). To bring some color and personality to it, I used chalkboard spray paint for the top and different colors on the sides and legs. Each piece took about 3-4 coats of spray paint to cover. Painted each piece before assembling it.
