Cheshire Cat Doll from Alice in Wonderland

This was part of my daughter's Alice in Wonderland costume. At the time, Disney didn't have a Cheshire Cat doll. So I made one, because I wanted it to be a bit funky. I think I accomplished that. :)
The strips are all separate but sewn together. Embroidery thread makes the decorative x's between the stripes. This took lots of sewing, undoing, frustration, etc., but it came out really nice I think, and my daughter loves it.
