SEWING PLAIN SEAMS

              This seam is the simplest method of joining two pieces of fabric. Use it for straight or curved seams and all materials.

Step 1
Place the right sides together, matching the raw edges, and pin along the sewing line.

                Step 2
Use a straight stitch and sew along the sewing line, removing the pins in the process.

                Step 3
Press the seam open or to one side and neaten using a seam finish.
