NOTIONS Hook US H8 / 5.00 mm or size to obtain gauge. Gauge ruler or tape measure Yarn needle Scissors

GAUGE Start with working a 6″ x 6″ square and measure the middle section, not along the sides. The middle will have more consistent stitches. 16 sts and 8 rows = 4”/10 cm
Blocked: If you block your squares as you go they are easier to seam and your afghan will have better drape and feel when it’s complete

SIZE Single square finished measurement: 12.5” x 12.5”

Step 1

PATTERN KEY Ch(s): Chain(s) Sc: Single crochet Sp(s): Space(s) St(s): Stitch(es) Lp(s): Loop(s) Dc = double crochet

NOTES Rows: Work that is not joined at the completion of the instruction. Square is worked flat in rows. Obtaining a gauge will ensure you are using the yarn and hook that will work with your personal tension to get an accurately sized piece. The hook and yarn in patterns are a suggestion. Ch-1 at the beginning of a row does not count as a stitch.
