Paper Craft — Make Your Own Stationery with Stampin' Up!

Stampin' Up!'s Summer Smooches Suite collection offers the perfect supplies for creating your own beautiful line of unique stationery, including envelopes. With their Simply Scored Diagonal Plate, it takes less than 5 minutes to create an envelope using any type of paper you want.

Step 1

With the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate from Stampin' Up, you can create your own custom envelopes.

In the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate, there are instructions that show you how to make 4 different envelope sizes. I decided to create a C6 envelope, which holds a 14.8 x 10.5 cm card.

To make this, I first needed to cut my card stock down to 8 1/2x 8 1/2.

Step 2

Follow the instructions that come with the Simple Scored machine to make a cute and quick envelope. The machine comes with place markers that you can set in the designated grooves to determine your score placement. To make the C6 envelopes, place one marker on the 4 1/2line and another marker at the 3 1/4 line.

Step 3

Using the stylus that comes with the Simply Scored machine, score a diagonal line using the marker at the 4 1/2" line as a guide. Your Simply Scored machine comes with diagonal grooves, which makes scoring an accurate diagonal line very easy.

Step 4

Turn the paper 80 degrees, then score a diagonal line, using the second marker at 3 1/4 as a guide.

Step 5

With a pair of scissors, cut out the excess notches between the diagonal score lines you created.

Step 6

Fold your paper or card stock on the score lines.

Step 7

With a paper cutter, trim the bottom and/or top points on your envelope as you see fit, then glue the bottom and side flaps together.

Step 8

Fold the top of your envelope down. You can use a sticker to close it, or simply add glue to the edges once you have a card in there.

Step 9

Create or purchase a card that is 14.8 x 10.5 cm. Then, use Stampin' Up!'s great line of ink pads and stamp sets to embellish your new stationary set. I used the Bright Blossom stamp set, the Lucky Limeade Classic Stampin' Pad and the Wisteria Wonder Classic Stampin' Pad.
