Easy First Foods for Babies: Fruity Alphabet Soup

This no bake dessert is a hit with the kiddos, especially those learning the alphabet. Strawberries and cranberries add a healthy, punch of color to the sweet treat.

Step 1

Bring some lightly salted water to boil in a saucepan. Pour in 1 tablespoon (15 g) of alphabet noodles and cook according to the directions on the packet. Drain and let cool completely.

Step 2

Rinse and hull about a 1/2 cup (100 g) of ripe strawberries. Cut them into small pieces and set aside in a bowl.

Step 3

Chop 2 teaspoons of dried cranberries and add them to the bowl.

Step 4

Pour 1/2 cup (100 ml) of cranberry juice (or mineral water) into the bowl of strawberries and cranberries. Add a squeeze of lemon juice and mix. Place in the refrigerator to marinate for 15 minutes until the cranberry pieces have softened.

Step 5

Pour the mixture into a soup plate and add the alphabet noodles.
