BRAIDED LEATHER BRACELET

The key to success in this project is managing the tension as you coil the brown cord. Each coil should be wrapped tightly around the three blue leather cords should not be visible.

MATERIALS:
4-mm metal glue-on clasp 3 x 12-in. (30 cm) lengths of 1.5 mm natural blue round leather cord 1 x 65-in. (165 cm) length of 1.5 mm natural brown round leather cord
Step 1
Glue one end of the four leather cords into the “hook” part of the metal clasps.
Step 2
Wrap the brown leather cord tightly around the three blue leather cords.
Step 3
Keep coiling the brown leather cord around the blue leather cords until you reach the desired length of the bracelet. This bracelet is 8-in. (20-cm) in length.
Step 4
Trim off the excess leather cords, leaving approximately 3/16 –in. (5-mm) of the cords unwrapped for gluing into the other part of the clasp.
Step 5
Glue the ends of the leather cords into the “eye” part of the clasp and let dry for 24 hours.
