A simple gathered skirt is brought to life with a regular pattern of embroidery. Drawing in construction marks is easy, as only straight lines are needed. The leaf-like embroidery uses three colors of thread. Torchon lace along the hem makes the skirt even sweeter. Supplies: Fabric—slub cotton 44 in (106 cm) wide x 1 2/3 yd (1.5 m) Iron-on interfacing—7/8 in (2 cm) x 9 in (23 cm) 8 in (20 cm) zipper x 1 Waistband stiffening—3cm wide x your waist measurement + 3 cm Lace—7/8 in (2cm) wide x 2 yd (2 m) Skirt hook and bar One snap fastener Embroidery thread – white, orange, brown
Sew left side and attach zipper. Sew right side and open out seam.
Attach waistband. Attach lace to hem. Attach skirt hook and bar.
Embroider pattern.
