**Headband** Cast on 21 (23) sts. Row 1 (RS): K1, *p1, k1, rep from * to end of row. Row 2: P1, *k1, p1, rep from * to end of row. Rep these 2 rows until work from beg measures 15 (15-1/2)" [38 (39.5) cm]. Bind off. Sew cast-on and bound-off edges tog.
**Bow** Cast on 17 (19) sts. Work in St st until work from beg measures 10" (25.5 cm), ending with a purl row. Bind off. Sew cast-on and bound-off edges tog. Thread a running st through seam and pull tightly to gather and fasten off.
**Bow Center** Cast on 5 sts. Work in garter st (knit every row) until work from beg measures 2" (5 cm). Bind off.
**Finishing** With RS facing, wrap Bow Center around Bow over seam and sew in place. Sew Bow to Headband, concealing Headband seam.
