CROCHETED AMIGURUMI VAMPIRE
It's true that Dom is personally responsible for the bloody deaths of some 200 young people in the Brooklyn area. It is also true that he keeps a set of size G/6 crochet hooks hidden beneath his cloak and uses them to puncture the necks of his victims.
MATERIALS Pure wool light worsted (DK) yarn: Shoes, Body, Arms, Hair: 1⁄2 x 1¾oz (50g) ball—approx 62yd (56.5m)—of black (A) Legs, Mouth: 1⁄4 x 1¾oz (50g) ball—approx 31yd (28.5m)—of gray (B) Head: 1⁄4 x 1¾oz (50g) ball—approx 31yd (28.5m)—of white (C) Eye surround, Fangs: Piece of red felt Safety eyes Fiberfill stuffing Cloak: 18 x 9in (46 x 23cm) silver/black fabric (allow more if hemming is necessary) Crochet hook size: E/4 (3.5mm)

Step 1
SHOES, LEGS, BODY & HEAD
Right shoe: Using A, make 6ch. Round 1: 2sc in second ch from hook. 1sc in each of next 3ch, 3sc in last ch. Working on other side of chain, 1sc in each of next 3ch, 2sc in last ch. (14 sts) Cont working in back of loops only. Round 2: 1sc in each st. (14 sts) Round 3: 1sc in next 4 sts, sc2tog twice, 1sc in each of last 6 sts. (12 sts) Round 4: 1sc in next 3 sts, sc2tog, 1sc, sc2tog, 1sc in each of last 4 sts. (10 sts)
Right leg: Change to B, begin working in both loops. Round 5: 1sc in next 2 sts, sc2tog, 1sc, sc2tog, 1sc in each of last 3 sts. (8 sts) Rounds 6–10: 1sc in each st. (8 sts) Round 11: [1sc in each of next 2 sts, 2sc in next st] twice, 1sc in each of last 2 sts. (10 sts) Rounds 12–17: 1sc in each st. Fasten off.
Step 2
Left shoe & leg: Rep first shoe and leg. Do not fasten off before stuffing. Stuff legs and pin together with long quilting pins, so that both feet are facing in the same direction.
Body: Insert hook into unfastened-off st on second leg. Mark beg of round into first st with a st marker. Round 1: 1sc in each of next 5 sts around leg towards back. Insert hook into corresponding st of other leg. Join legs together by making 1sc in each of next 10 sts of first leg, make 1sc into each of next 5 sts of second leg. (20 sts) Rounds 2–3: 1sc in each st. (20 sts) Change to A. Rounds 4–13: 1sc in each st. (20 sts) Round 14: *1sc in next st, sc2tog; rep from * to last 2 sts, 1sc in each st. Step 3

ARMS (make 2) Using A, make 2ch, 5sc in second ch from hook. Round 1: *1sc in next st, 2sc in next st; rep from * once, 1sc in last st. (7 sts) Next round: Work 1sc in each st around until arm measures 31⁄2in (9cm). Fasten off. Do not stuff.
Step 4
MAKING UP Hand sew felt eye surrounds onto face. Pin and sew arms to body. Using B, embroider mouth. Cut out two triangular-shaped fangs and hand sew in place at side of mouth.
HAIR Using A threaded in tapestry needle, embroider vampire-style hair with a “V” shape at the front.
CLOAK Make a small hem along each side if the fabric frays. Measure down approx 2in (5cm) from top for the collar, then gather around for neck. Hand sew cloak onto doll.
