Crochet Pattern — Make Your Own Pancake

Start your morning right with a few crocheted pancakes! They may not be edible, but they sure will brighten up your day. This is a relatively simple project but does require an beginner/intermediate level of crochet experience. This pattern makes one crocheted pancake that is 4 1/2 inches wide. SKILL LEVEL: BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE MATERIALS: Yarn from the "Vanna's Choice" collection at <a href="http://www.lionbrand.com/yarns/vannaschoice.html?categoryKey=1694587&start=15&pageLength=15">Lion Brand Yarn</a>. I used the Beige and Honey colors. Size 4.0mm crochet hook. MC is Honey Color CC is Beige Color ch(s) = Chain(s) st(s) = stitch(es) YO = Yarn Over hdc = Half Double Crochet dc = Double Crochet dec = decrease (To Decrease: YO then insert your hook in next st. YO then pull through (3 loops on hook). YO then pull through 2 of 3 loops. YO then insert hook in next st. YO and pull through (4 loops on hook). YO then pull through 2 of 4 loops. YO then pull through remaining 3 loops on hook. )

Step 1

With MC, ch6 YO then insert hook in first ch. Complete a dc within same ch, then 2 more dc in same ch. Add 15 more dc within the rest of the 5 ch (3 dc in each chain). YO then add one dc in 1st st. Insert stitch marker into this chain. **Add 2 dc in next st, then 1 dc in the following st.* Repeat from ** **Add 1 dc then add 1 dc in next st. Join your CC in next row (To Join: YO, insert hook in first ST, YO and pull through. YO with MC and CC Do not cut your first color. Pull through 2 loops. Drop MC. YO with CC and pull through last 2 loops.). Do 1 dc across entire row. Cut yarn and weave in ends.
