CIRCLES KNIT CRIB BLANKET
Supersoft and perfect for snuggling, this multicolored blanket is a great pattern for those wanting to try out the intarsia method of colorwork. The striking one-color garter stich border brings the whole blanket together.

Yarn: Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran 50g A x 3 B x 2 C x 3 D x 1 Needles: 1 pair of US8 (5mm/UK6) needles Gauge: 19sts and 25 rows over 4 in (10cm) in st st Notions: Darning needle

Step 1
With yarn C, cast on 119sts. Work 9 rows in g st. Row 1: K7 in C, k105 in A, k7 in C. Row 2: K7 in C, p105 in a, k7 in C. Rows 3-18: Rep these 2 rows 8 times more. Row 20: K7 in C, p across 35sts row 2 (chart 1), 25 sts row 2 (chart 2), 35 sts row 2 (chart 1), k7 in C. Rows 21-64: These 2 rows set the patt. Cont to follow the charts until the 46 rows are completed. Rows 65-82: As rows 1-18. Row 83: K7 in C, k 35sts row 1 (chart 2), 35 sts row 1 (chart 1), 35sts row 1 (chart 2), k7 in C. Row 84: K7 in C, p 35sts row 2 (chart 2), 35 sts row 2 (chart 1), 35sts row 2 (chart 2), k7 in C. Rows 85-128: Follow the charts as set until 46 rows have been completed. Rows 129-146: As rows 1-18. Rows 147-210: As rows 19-82. With yarn C only, work 9 rows in g st. Cast off knitwise.
Step 2
Finishing Weave all ends with a darning needle and block.
Changing colors When you change color mid-row, wrap the yarns by bringing the next one under the last.

Chart 2 Key A: Ecru B: Silver C: Lime
Step 3
Beautiful borders The yellow garter stitch border creates a fabulous contrast edge to the blanket, which is knitted in stockinette stitch.
