Who doesn't love a good chocolate chip cookie? I know I do. Either homemade or store-bought, there's never a bad one, but I do have favorites. When I had extra cake mix, I wanted to try something else besides a cake or cake pops. I found the recipe for cake batter cookies and had to try these out. These cookies were exactly what I expected: delicious with a subtle cakey, vanilla taste. They are soft and fluffy, and the chocolate chips added a nice contrast to the mix. You can get crafty here and use any flavor cake mix you want. I used yellow, but whatever you have on hand will work. Ingredients: 1 (18.25 oz.) box cake mix 1 tsp. baking powder 2 eggs 1/2 cup vegetable oil 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, stir together the cake mix and baking powder. Add eggs and oil, then mix until well blended.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven.
Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
