BOOK PAGE KUSUDAMA SPHERE
Kusudama are a Japanese creation originally used for incense and potpourri and are now used most often as decorations or unique gifts. This kusudama sphere uses the Book Page Kusudama Flowers to make old book crafts.
Adapted from Jason Thompson's Playing with Books: The Art of Upcycling, Deconstructing, and Reimagining the Book,

Materials:
- 12 Book Page Kusudama Flowers
- Glue gun or other adhesive
Step 1
The sphere is created by attaching twelve flowers together. The flowers should meet at the tips of the petals. Use adhesive (I prefer a glue gun) to attach two together; they will only touch on two 'sides'. Choose one of the flowers to be the center, the other five flowers will wrap around this center flower. Glue the the remaining four flowers around the center to create a half sphere.
Step 2
Next, use the remaining six flowers to create the second half-sphere.
Step 3
Finally, glue the two half-spheres together to create the final sphere. Add a stem (wrapped in book pages!) and place the Kusudama in a vase as a floral centerpiece.
