BEADED LACE KNITTING: EDEN SCARF
Eden uses a luxurious, hand-dyed merino blend yarn, which is soft and warm around your neck. Beads at the bottom of the cowl add weight to a drapey fabric. It’s the perfect accessory to wear under your winter coat as it will keep your neck warm without adding bulk.

Step 1
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Circumference at top: 27 in./68.5 cm Length, top to bottom: 17 in./43 cm
YARN Lorna’s Laces Solemate, fingering weight #1 yarn, 55% superwash merino wool/30% Outlast viscose/15% nylon, 425 yd./388 m, 3.5 oz./100 g • 1 skein #1112 Ascot NEEDLES AND OTHER MATERIALS • US 6 (4 mm) circular needle, 24 in./60 cm long • 112 light green 4 mm miracle beads • US 13 (0.75 mm) steel crochet hook (for adding beads) • Tapestry needle
GAUGE 21 sts x 30 rows in Chart B patt after blocking = 4 in./10 cm square Be sure to check your gauge!
NOTES Row 1 of Chart B reduces the stitch count from 20 sts per patt repeat to 18 sts per patt repeat (126 sts). Row 3 further reduces the stitch count from 18 sts per patt repeat to 16 sts per patt repeat (112 sts).
Step 2
Cowl CO 140 sts. Join to work in the rnd, being careful not to twist sts. Place a stitch marker to indicate beg of rnd. Rnd 1: K to end. Rnd 2: P to end. Rep Rnds 1–2 once more. Next rnd:Work Row 1 of Chart A, working patt repeat 7 times. Continue to work in patt through all 12 rows of Chart A once. Next rnd:Work Row 1 of Chart B, working patt repeat 7 times—126 sts. Continue to work in patt through all 4 rows of Chart B once—112 sts. Next rnd:Work Row 1 of Chart C, working patt repeat 7 times. Continue to work in patt through all 4 rows of Lace patt C 25 times. Next rnd: P to end. Next rnd: K to end. Rep last 2 rnds once more. BO using the Russian Bind-Off.
Step 3
Finishing Weave in all loose ends. Block scarf.
