Sewing Patterns Based on Vintage Clothes

Posted by CraftFoxes Staff onNov 10, 2011

Vintage clothing patterns are one way to get a classic look in a new outfit. But if you've got a vintage piece you want to adapt into something new consider using the rub-off method, which is pattern-maker Steffani Lincecum's go-to technique. Got an A-line skirt that fits like a glove but can't find anymore like it? Via pinning and tracing, you can make your own patterns inspired by favorite garments or you can add a few trendy variations. See Steffani's examples in this gallery.
