Winter Sewing Projects

For those of you who've been lucky enough to get snow this early in the season, you know that winter is here. The holiday season has officially started, too. If you love to sew, it may be hard to decide on winter sewing projects or what to sew for holiday gifts. Knitters and crocheters have it easy, as they have endless patterns to chose from for the winter months. Don't let them take all the glory! Here are some great sewing patterns for winter accessories that you can make for yourself or give as a gift.

Fingerless Tweed Gloves sewing Pattern
Gina Renee

Finglessless Tweed Gloves

These are the type of gloves that will last you for years and years to come. The style of these gloves is timeless as well. This pattern was designed by Gina Renee and is for beginning sewists that are on the more comfortable side with their skills/techniques, and of course for any advanced sewist. I love the tweed she used for these and the button with a strap adds an awesome detail. Find this fingerless gloves pattern by Gina Renee in her shop.

1920s Vintage Style Cloche Hat

This hat comes straight out of Downton Abbey with its form-fitting style that gives a sweet look to whoever wears it. It's called the Clementine hat and it's designed by Elsewhen. The pattern comes with a few different accent styles. This pattern is for intermediate sewists who want to take on a new type of project. I think this is a great project for someone who loves vintage style and is looking for something different to wear this year. Find the pattern for the vintage style hat at Elsewhen's shop!
