The Delaplane Strawberry Festival promises to be a “berry” good time for anyone who can attend the juicy event. With crafters from around the region, the festival has deliciously sweet talent showcased in the “Craft Village” as well as many other family-friendly activities, including hay rides, puppet shows and street entertainers.

39th Annual Round the Fountain Art Fair
May 26, (Sat) 9-4:30 
 
Staged around Tippecanoe's historic fountain, this art fair makes a splash with the juried pieces of over ninety regional artists. Located in a central Midwest location, it is the perfect way to spend this Memorial Day.

The West

Northwest Folklife Festival

The Folklife Festival in Seattle is built around music, storytelling and dancing, but this year’s event has special crafting activities as well. Head downtown to the Next Fifty Activities tent, where there is a puppet-making station and a center for making wooden toy boats. Join the Fremont Arts Council and the rest of the community in building a 100-foot “dragon float.”

San Ramon Art and Wind Festival

The Art and Wind Festival blows into town this Memorial Day weekend. Professional kite demonstrations and a hot air balloon launch accompany nearly 200 vendors displaying their wares. Visitors can find beautiful handcrafted items including paintings, photographs, jewelry, clothing, pottery, toys and more.
