Just because its spring, doesn’t mean every day is meant to be spent outside. There are still plenty of days perfect to curl up inside with some pillows and read a good book. But if you can’t wait for the April showers to be over and the May flowers to bloom, here are seven DIY flower pillows you can sew to brighten up any room in your house.

This pillow from Crystal at A Pumpkin and A Princess was designed using outdoor fabrics, making it perfect for a porch chair or swing, but you can make it just as pretty with regular fabric. The bright flower in the middle is made with ribbon and it's detachable!

Using a bold fabric for the pillow and bright colors for the flowers will really make this die-cut felt flower pillow from Nicole pop. You can also mix them up to create holiday pillows, like red, white and blue for Fourth of July.

Recycled Rose Pillow
Alisa from Redefining Creativity made this striking pillow with leftover fabric roses she made from an earlier project. She used a sewing machine to create the delicate stems for the flowers, but recommends using hand embroidery or painting them if you don’t have a sewing machine.
