This week we feature Heidi Ferguson, who blogs at the Honeybear Lane website. Heidi is a very creative blogger who describes herself as a “blogger, creator, and mother.” Before Honeybear Lane became the awesome blog that it is today, it was a small handmade shop. When Heidi introduced the Puff Quilt Tutorial, the blog really became popular. Heidi’s admirable goal a she blogs is “to encourage women (and men) to develop their creativity with inspiring projects, tutorials, and tips.” We asked her some questions, and here’s what she had to say!

Can you tell us a little bit about your blog and when you started it?
I started my blog in 2010 as a way to support my Etsy shop, which sold handmade baby items. The blog became more popular and fun for me as I started to share tutorials and connect with other bloggers. I continued my shop, but moved it to sell more quilt patterns and puff quilts, and now I only have a few quilts left to share. My blog has grown steadily over the last three years and I've loved everything about it!

What is one of your favorite projects you've ever made?
That's hard to say because I work hard on almost everything I do and I don't give up until I love it. One project that has been very helpful is my Craft Room Pegboard. It's enormous and so well-organized that finally I can have all my supplies at my fingertips.

Where do you find inspiration for your creative projects?
I am inspired by other bloggers whom I've found through Pinterest or just through friends over the years. I am also inspired by my favorite home decorating stores, magazines and websites.

Which of your craft projects took the longest to finish?
I built my son's Lego organizer desk from scratch and that took a long time. I think if I had the right tools it would have been faster, but it was my first build so I did the best I could!

Describe your personal style in 3 words.
Country, eclectic, ever-changing. I love the country farmhouse style, but I also like having modern things mixed in there. It's eclectic because I'm always changing things up when I get sick of them. My husband is awesomely patient about this!

When I'm not crafting, I can be found...
Exercising, cleaning my house, or driving my kids somewhere. I try to get together with family and friends each week also, and each night I watch TV with my hubby.  :)

If you were to be cast on a reality TV show, which one would you choose and why?
"Property Brothers." I think it would be fun to find a house and renovate it. I'm sure I would clash on the designing aspect and be one of those uber-annoying people who can't leave it alone!
