Pretty, Convenient and Efficient

Debee turned her closet space into a clean and inspirational craft storage area by hanging fabrics and organizing her yarn in rainbow order, which shows off the bold and pretty colors. She stores her collection of spools in jars and purchased mini storage cubbies to create virtual shelves. She also adds other pops of inspiration with cute knobs for drawers and vintage items from thrift stores.

Three-Tier Display

To maximize space on your craft table desk, here's a fun, easy and cheap DIY organizational idea from Alissa, who assembled IKEA candlesticks and thrift store tins for a three-tier display. She stores her Mister Huey sprays and punches in them — what will you store in yours? The possibilities are endless!

Ribbon Organizing System

A tension rod is all you need to create space on your shelf to organize all those colorful ribbons. Now you have even more space for all that fabric you've been collecting! Take it one step further and add a measuring stick, tape measure or scissors for easy reach to measure and cut your next project.

Remodeled Sewing Closet

Gwen turned her closet into a full-on sewing area, complete with built-in shelves and a table. A pegboard to hang scissors, ribbons, rulers and more maximizes the space even further. While this project will require you to roll up your sleeves and commit to the time and effort, the finished project will be so worth it.

DIY Craft Table

If all you have space for is a desk, see how Sarah created hers, with lots of storage space — for $100. She used cube shelves, a laminate island tabletop (another option: get wood cut and paint it) and canvas drawers, which brings some color to the desk and keeps the craft supplies hidden.

Scrapbooking Armoire 

Don't have a spare closet to store all your stuff, you say? You'll never guess where Jen keeps all her scrapbooking supplies — neatly organized in an armoire in the dining room! She makes use out of the space she has with plastic bins, magazine organizers and small hanging shelves attached to the inside of each door.

Laundry/Craft Room

Have you ever thought about using your laundry room as craft space? Cyndy's out-of-the-box thinking transformed the room no one really wants to go to unless they have to, into an organized haven. Tool carriers from Lowe's are used to store paint brushes, paint, tools and more, allowing her to grab-and-go whenever she's inspired for her next project. Best part: a magnetic board is used for tools like scissors and pliers.
